The New York City College of Technology, CUNY located in the heart of downtown Brooklyn, New York, serves as a public path for over 17,000 college students. When the pandemic hit the college was forced to shift from in-person education to online which decreased students participation and their engagement rate across the board.

In collaboration with the Provost office we developed an interactive and educational ‘Academic Advising Video Library’ that immerses students in events, college opportunities and offices. Each video introduces a specific topic along with engaging exercises to help relay information, while giving step-by-step guidance to claiming benefits which can be applied to improve the overall college experience towards graduation. 

The development of the video library resulted in identifying specific struggles students face, and valuable research data that has been translated into visuals that help students, faculty, advisors and administrators learn through watching and following through for the long run.
