The SoHo Memory Project is a short documentary about the transformation of SoHo, New York, from a 1960s industrial and artists' district into today’s upscale hub of fashion, retail, and tourism. Following SoHo native Yukie Ohta as she builds a living archive to capture the community’s fading past. Through personal footage, resident interviews, and archival materials, the film traces Ohta’s story, growing up in SoHo, witnessing its gentrification, and creating a memory project that reflects on what is lost when neighborhoods change.
